PACS ITALY 2010: knowing our teachers

We are glad to present you our Pacs italy 2010 teachers

Wendy Senger

  1. How and when did you know scrapbooking and why did you start with it? - I started simple scrapbooking about 13 years ago. Nothing really creative was on the market, at that time so I found I would get board easily, and lost interest. Once textures, papers embellishments and ribbons became available I found I really enjoyed creating. However I do not get to do much of it any more since I created the Glimmer Mist.  Work before pleasure.

  1. Which are the aspects that you like more about this hobby? - The aspects of the hobby are, of course, the textures I enjoy the most. I love warm earthy colors, and most of all I love to change and alter all my crafting projects buy using GM on everything!  (hehe)

  1. What are your favourite products and brands and why? - Ok I must say I LOVE TATTERED ANGELS; I am a bit biased though. Other company’s products I love? 7Gypies, Ranger, Prima are my top 3.

  1. How do you define your style? Tell us a particular of it. - Well it is easy to describe my personal style.  I love TATTERED thus the name Tattered Angels. I love altering, distressing, torn and tattered. Earthy colors.

  1. What are the subjects of your pages? - My kids are my subjects in all my projects. I have 3 children:  Dillon 13, Kaitlyn 9 and Ally just turned 8.

  1. What kind of scrapbook works do you like more? (cards, layouts, mini albums, altered objects) and why. - Hands down I have really enjoyed making smaller projects. Mini Albums, when I have time. I feel a since of completion when a project is done. 5-6 hours and a whole album is done.

  1. What is the meaning of scrapbooking for you? - Meaning of “Scrapbooking to me” hmmm. Time with my girlfriends, creating mementos for my kids to always keep with them.  Documenting important moments.

  1. Have you ever heard about Pacs italy before your engagement? - Unfortunately no, but I am very excited about being involved with Pacs. Looking forward to spending time with all the attendees.

  1. What do you expect from the Pacs? - I Love teaching all the wonderful creative ways to Glimmer Mist.  This class, Glimmer Mist Basics, will really help in creating confidence in using the Glimmer Mist in a wide variety of ways. I would expect all the attendees to feel a since of knowledge about the Tattered Angels product line and feel confident using Glimmer Mist on everything you have at home.

  1. Have you ever been in Italy? - It just so happens that I just got back from a 3 day trip to Italy. My husband and I spent 3 fabulous days in Roma. This was our vacation after traveling to Paris, Germany and Holland for education of Glimmer Mist. I had always wanted to go to Italy. I love Pasta!!! (and of course Red Wine)

  1. Why do you like to teach scrapbook? - I enjoy teaching others how to use Glimmer Mist and love to see the creative juices flow.  Watching the timid sprayers at the beginning of a class and develop in to confident sprayers. Each project created becomes so unique even though everyone is using all the same products.

  1. What are your favourite inspiration sources and why? - I’m inspired by being surrounded by very creative girlfriends. I think throwing ideas around works best for me. I also look through print magazines for inspiration. 

  1. Where do you create? - Pre Tattered Angels I had the most fabulous crafting room but now that we have a large warehouse I have taken all my “STUFF” (a lot of stuff) to our crafting room in the warehouse. My kids now occupy the former craft room.

  1. Do you practise other hobbies besides scrapbooking? Which ones? - Reading! This is my down time to relax and get my mind off work.

  1. Does your family support you? - My husband was grandfathered in. He was able to quit his full time job about 2 years ago and is very busy as HR manager, builder of the booths, traveling to shows, accounting… and so much more. Now I would like to mention my wonderful mother who my husband and I owe a great deal to. She takes wonderful care of our 3 kids while we are traveling.

  1. How and when did you know scrapbooking and why did you start with it? - I starter scrapbooking in 2004 after a friend introduced me to it.  I uploaded my work onto an online gallery and after i did my 3rd layout I was asked to work in some UK magazines producing craft projects and it just exploded from there.  I still work for several uk magazines and I still scrapbbook – I am obsessed!

  1. Which are the aspects that you like more about this hobby? - I like the creative side and using my best photos knowing that my family will appreciate them in years to come.

  1. What are your favourite products and brands and why? - I have and will awlays love basic grey. They are always so up to date with patterens and colours and I can rely on them all the time to present great products.

  1. How do you define your style? Tell us a particular of it. - I like to clutter my pages in small spaces using a visual triangle everytime.

  1. What are the subjects of your pages? - Mainly my daughter

  1. What kind of scrapbook works do you like more?(cards, layouts, mini albums, altered objects) and why. - I like to make just single pages and cards with my leftovers.

  1. What is the meaning of scrapbooking for you? - Scrapbokoing is a creative release and a place where I can express my art

  1. Have you ever heard about Pacs italy before your engagement? - Yes, I was invited to come to Pacs 2008 but I couldnt make it due to a wedding

  1. What do you expect from the Pacs? - A lot of fun, I know the Italianos like a good laugh plus I like gelato!

  1. Have you ever been in Italy? - Yes, I went to Florence in 2007 and loved every single minute of it.

  1. Why do you like to teach scrapbook? - I like to share experiences and techniques. I learn more from others than I do from myself.

  1. What are your favourite inspiration sources and why? - Fabric is my number one source of inspiration, that and old posters

  1. Where do you create? - My husband converted the garage for me, which is just next door to the kitchen.

  1. Do you practise other hobbies besides scrapbooking? Which ones? - Yes, painting and crochet

  1. Does your family support you? - They enjoy what I do but sometimes I think they would like me to stop taking photos all the time!

Hello everyone!

This is a very big announcement!!!

We are more than honored to announce that at the next.. very cloesed.... Pacs Italy third edition we will have a guest star!!!

She is...................................................... WENDY SENGER from TATTERED ANGELS!!


A little presentation of Wendy...

Wendy Senger is the inventor of Glimmer Mist, and in so doing, single-handedly created a new category in the  art industry of MISTING!  She was mixing bottles for her own consumption in her basement, and knew she was on to something when the owner of the local scrapbooking store couldn’t keep the few colors she was carrying in stock!  Coming from the Professional photography and photo lab industry, where she had been running labs and taking studio photos since she was 19, she left the photography business she had built to start Tattered Angels.  While she had no experience developing products, and knew nothing about the scrapbooking industry: she enlisted some of her closest friends, rented some warehouse space and started mixing colors and teaching people to spray!

The glimmery sheen on everything has become a crowd pleaser and Tattered Angels has grown year after year and continues to evolve and develop!

Wendy and her husband Kyle have learned how to balance and juggle their thriving business and their sweet family. She is mom to 3 fabulous kids whom inherited their parents’ ingenuity and independent natures.  Wendy loves to be surrounded by friends and is motivated and driven by challenges and possibilities!  She LOVES to share her passions for Glimmer Mist!

 

She will teach "101 ways to use glimmer mist" , here a sneak peak of the project!

Saturday 27 march time 8.30-10.30

Sunday 28 march time 10.50-12.50

IMPORTANT...Heidi has changes one of her classes, so in substitution of Heidi heart she will teach a fabulous class using glimmer mist "HEIDI FASTENATION FOLDER" partecipate partecipate partecipate. All the girls that have bought heidi heart will be inserted directly in the glimmer mist class of heidi. If you want to change it send us an email to moduli@paperandcoshow.it
